  1.          SUREFIRE  -   THE SMART DOCUMENT PROCESSOR

  10. form or spreadsheet... right there on your page. Immediately fill

  12. is automatically created and your first record is stored. And, the
  13. pages on your screen are always like you'll see them on paper!

  15. Anywhere within your document take advantage of over 70 spreadsheet
  16. functions, or use the powerful search capabilities on your database.
  17. You can even generate reports by injecting data from many records
  18. right into your document. And all this can be done in one program 
  19. using only 7 simple pull down menus!

  25. SUREFIRE DEMO/TUTORIAL

  27. To quickly get the feel of Surefire, we recommend that you first go
  28. through the Demo/Tutorial. It shows you the basics of Surefire
  29. through various examples.  The Demo/Tutorial is found in the file 
  30. sfdemo.zip.

  32. To run the Demo/Tutorial after installation, type "sfdemo" at the 
  33. DOS prompt.

  35. RUNNING SUREFIRE
  36.  
  37. To run Surefire after installation, type "surefire" at the DOS prompt.
  38. The Surefire program may be found in the file surefi.zip.
  39.  
  40. When Surefire comes up, you will be looking at the representation of
  41. an 8 1/2 by 11 inch page with standard margins. There is a menu bar
  42. across the top with 7 pull down menus. Use the F-10 key and the
  43. arrow keys to access the menus. Pressing F-1 gives you a description
  44. of what you are looking at. Typing ALT+X allows you to leave Surefire.

  46. ON-LINE DOCUMENTATION
  47.  
  48. Included with your evaluation copy of Surefire there is a companion
  49. 180 page version of the Surefire User's Guide. This is in the file
  50. sfdoc.zip and unpacked into the text file, "sfdoc.txt". You may 
  51. print this file or look at it by using the DOS command "type".

  53. When running Surefire, on-line context sensitive help is available
  54. by pressing F-1. Press Esc to close the help window.

  56. SUREFIRE ZIP FILES

  58. If you purchase SUREFIRE from a vendor you should find surefi.zip and 
  59. sfdemo.zip on Disk 1 and sfdoc.zip on Disk 2. If you are downloading
  60. SUREFIRE from a BBS, each .zip file requires a separate download.

  65. Surefire Contacts is a contact management system implemented using 
  66. Smart Documents. You may find Surefire Contacts on your BBS in the 
  67. file sfcont.zip or check your vendor's catalog.

  72. To use SUREFIRE - THE SMART DOCUMENT PROCESSOR after your initial
  73. free evaluation period of 30 days, you must register your usage with
  74. Piaf, Inc. You may choose from 3 registration options. After
  75. reviewing these options, print out a copy of the registration form
  76. (register.txt), fill in the form, then mail it to:
